We're Good To Go

Self-Catering Cottage in the Township of Ardhasaig

Coronavirus Update 16th October 2020

We opened at the beginning of August and we’ve been relatively busy ever since. Thank you to all those who have visited and to all those who have still to come. It’s been a difficult year for all of us and your support is appreciated.

Before opening, we carried out our Risk Assessments and made a few changes to how we normally operate.

  • We re-organised the cottages making them easier to both sanitise and clean.
  • We purchased plenty of hand soap and hand sanitiser for our guests to use whilst they are with us.
  • We opted to close the cottages between bookings to allow any aerosols extra time to dissipate.
  • We made the decision to ask our guests to keep the cottage well-aired and clean.

It’s a much bigger job now but our guests have made it both easier and safer for us.

We are still in uncertain times and we appreciate that people are nervous both about the virus and being placed under lockdown. Instead of requesting your final balance 28 days in advance, we’ve reduced this to 7 days, allowing you more certainty over your travel plans. For those who wish to book a new holiday with us, our Availability Calendar is kept up to date and you are able to book directly through this website.

We hope that the current spike can be brought under control quickly and you feel confident enough to plan a trip away to one of the most beautiful places in Scotland.

We look forward to providing you with a safe, comfortable, relaxing stay.

Sitting on the water’s edge, with views of the mountains of North Harris and surrounded by an abundance of wildlife, Seaside Cottage is the perfect Harris retreat.

Small and cosy, just for two, the cottage comes well equipped with all you would want for a special self-catering holiday. Unwind by the roaring fire, pamper yourself in a whirlpool bath, lose track of time watching the eagles soar from the comfort of indoors, we aim to send you home relaxed and rejuvenated.

Originally a traditional croft house, Seaside Cottage was renovated and extended in 2003 to very high standards and has been well maintained. There is Sky TV and wi-fi broadband.

Situated in the township of Ardhasaig, three miles from the main village of Tarbert on the Isle of Harris, the cottage is well served for local amenities and is an ideal location for discovering the Outer Hebrides.

This luxurious cottage sleeps 2 people and is available year-round. Prices start from as little as £105 per night with discounts for those staying longer than 5 nights. Full details of our rates and how to book can be found here.

Sorry, but we do not allow pets or smoking in the cottage.
